"I Caught My Maid Breastfeeding My Son, But She Has Never Been Pregnant"
I am shaking as I type this, and I don't know if I will survive tonight.

Mothers, please, I am begging you. Stop leaving your children with just anybody.

My name is Tolu. I work as a Branch Manager in a bank in Victoria Island. Because of the nature of my job, I leave the house at 5:30 AM and come back at 9:00 PM.

My husband, Femi, works offshore. It’s just me and my 8-month-old son, Daniel.

Two months ago, I hired a nanny named "Grace."

Grace was heaven-sent. Or so I thought.

She was quiet, hardworking, and she didn't use a phone. The agency told me she was a "village girl" who wanted to make money for her family.

From the moment Grace entered my house, my son Daniel changed.

Daniel used to be a fussy eater. He would cry all night. He would reject formula.

But within one week of Grace arriving, Daniel became the calmest baby in the world.

He stopped crying. He started sleeping for 12 hours straight. And he started growing.

I mean, he grew BIG. His skin was glowing. His eyes were bright.

"Madam, your baby likes my back," Grace would say, smiling shyly when I thanked her.

But while Daniel was blooming, I was withering.

I started losing weight rapidly. My hair started falling out. I would wake up with strange scratch marks on my breasts, as if something had clawed at me in my sleep.

I went to the doctor. They ran tests. Malaria? Negative. Typhoid? Negative. Cancer? Negative.

"You are stressed," the Doctor said.

Last Tuesday, I forgot a sensitive file at home. I drove back around 11:00 AM.

I didn't honk the horn. I used my spare key to enter the gate because I didn't want to disturb them.

The house was silent as a graveyard.

I walked to the living room. Empty.

I walked to the kitchen. Empty.

Then I heard a sound coming from the Guest Room, Grace’s room.

It was a low humming sound. “Mmm… Mmm… Eje mi… Eje mi…”

I tiptoed to the door. It was slightly open.

What I saw made my soul leave my body.

Grace was sitting on a mat on the floor, naked from the waist up.

My son, Daniel, was in her arms.

He was suckling on her breast.

I wanted to scream. I wanted to rush in and tear her apart. But my legs were frozen.

Because Grace has never been pregnant. She has no milk.

So, what was my son drinking?

I looked closer.

The veins on Grace’s chest were black and pulsing.

And my son wasn't drinking milk. A thick, greenish smoke was coming out of her nipple and entering his mouth.

His eyes were rolled back, completely white. He looked like he was in a trance.

I couldn't hold it anymore. I kicked the door open.

"GRACE!" I screamed.

She didn't jump. She didn't panic. She didn't cover herself.

She slowly took her nipple out of my son’s mouth.

She looked at me. Her face was different. She looked old, ancient.

"You are early," she said. Her voice sounded like grinding metal.

"Give me my son!" I shouted, grabbing a flower vase.

She laughed. It wasn't a human laugh.

"He is not your son anymore, Tolu," she whispered. "You gave birth to the vessel, but I have filled him with the spirit. He is one of us now."

I rushed to grab Daniel, but he started screaming.

He didn't scream like a baby. He screamed like a grown man in pain. He looked at me with pure hatred and reached his hands out, back to her.

"You see?" Grace smiled, her teeth suddenly looking sharp. "He knows his real mother. The milk of the initiation is sweeter than blood."

I grabbed Daniel by force and ran.

I am currently in my sister's house. But since we arrived here, Daniel has refused to eat. He has refused to drink water.

He is staring at the wall, whispering a name I have never heard before.

And 30 minutes ago, I received a text message from an unknown number.

It was a picture of ME, sleeping in my bed.

The caption read: "bring him back to the coven before midnight, or we will take the life we left in you."

My chest is burning. I checked the mirror, and my veins are turning black.

I think I am turning into her.

What do I do? If I give him back, I lose my son. If I keep him, I die.
