Rule number 1: Don’t kiss them.
Ask me why? 🙄
Because kissing creates emotional attachment. When you kiss someone, your brain releases chemicals like oxytocin (the bonding hormone). That can make feelings grow fast—even when you didn’t plan to get emotionally involved.
So sometimes people say “don’t kiss them” as a rule to avoid getting too attached too quickly or to keep things from becoming complicate —let’s go deeper, because this rule actually comes from psychology and human biology, not just “dating advice.”
1. Your brain chemistry changes fast
When you kiss someone, your body releases chemicals like:
Oxytocin → creates bonding and trust
Dopamine → makes you feel pleasure and excitement
Serotonin changes → can make you think about the person a lot
That’s why after a kiss, people often start catching feelings quickly, even if they didn’t intend to.
2. Kissing can blur your judgment
Before a kiss, you might be thinking clearly:
“Do I really like this person?”
“Are they good for me?”
After a kiss, emotions kick in and you might:
Ignore red flags đźš©
Feel more attached than the situation deserves
Confuse physical attraction with real love
3. It creates emotional investment
Even a simple kiss can make your brain feel like:
“This person is important now.”
So if things don’t work out, it can hurt more than expected—because your brain already started forming a connection.
4. It can change the dynamic
Once kissing starts:
The relationship often becomes more romantic/serious
Expectations may increase (from both sides)
It can move things faster than you’re ready for
5. That’s why some people say “don’t kiss them”
It’s not that kissing is bad—it’s just powerful.
People use that rule to:
Protect their emotions
Stay in control early on
Avoid getting attached too quickly
Simple way to understand it:
Kissing is not just physical…
👉 it’s like pressing a “start emotional connection” button in your brain. #RelationshipAdvice #PsychologyFacts #LoveAdvice #ToxicRelationships #AttachmentTheory
