Don't come to Blaqsbi hoping for a “Black Facebook, Instagram or Whatsapp”—instantly polished, feature-rich, flooded with content. - And please don't leave because we are not quite there yet.
Here’s the truth everyone needs to understand: Meta Platforms were not built in a day. They were built with substancial resources which inclutded billion in investment capital, 20,000+ employees, and a business models that sells your attention and data to the highest bidder.
Blaqsbi was built on something entirely different:
- Belief—that we deserve a platform that honors our humanity
- Sacrifice—by a very small team two people working days, nights and weekends
- Principle—that no one should own or control our digital future, but us Black people.
We don’t have funding from billionaires who’d demand profit over people. We don’t have algorithms to keep you scrolling in laughter or outrage. We didn’t build for scale first—we built for safety, dignity, humanity and sovereignty first.
But now, we need you.
Not just as users. But as co-founders of a new digital homeland.
